Generally people wants their website to be search engine optimized or SEO friendly. But they do some common mistakes that may cause major loss to their websites in ranking. Here are some rules that needs to be avoided
ALT tags
Every image on the websites needs to have the ALT text. This is the text which displays the name if the image is not loaded. These text tells the search engines that what the image is because programs cant see the pictures. A good ALT tags will include three or more keywords, and it is the great place to put the keywords when the image is not loaded.
Title Tags
Dont use the same title tag on the every page of the website. It is easy to write one title for home page and leaving the same for inner pages. This is where we are loosing by keeping same keywords on every pages. So need to vary the title tags on every page of the website so that search engines can differentiate the pages.
Don't use the scripts. It is difficult to search engines to read inside the flash objects. Meaning that we are loosing places to put meta tags and alt tags.
